This piece was inspired by the complexity of feminine emotion—how desire, vulnerability, and mystery often exist simultaneously. The expressive eyes and full lips break through the abstract layers, symbolizing the unveiling of raw, unfiltered emotion beneath the surface. I wanted the viewer to feel a sense of intimacy and curiosity, like they’re catching a glimpse of something deeply personal and sacred.

I chose acrylics for their texture and boldness, blending detailed realism with abstract strokes to create contrast—both visually and emotionally. The style mirrors the push and pull between concealment and revelation, making Shades of Desire not just a face, but a feeling.
